Data is no longer being updated

BeatStars recently changed their site’s structure, so I can no longer access trending search data. I’ll resume updates if I find a workaround, but for now, BSTA will remain available in archive mode with the most recent data.

BeatStars trending searches

1,000 of the most popular search queries on BeatStars, updated weekly.

Simple and clear ranking system

Quickly understand the balance between supply and demand in every niche.

Tags used by BeatStars' top sellers

Easily see if a tag has been used by top sellers or appeared in the charts.

How does it work?

This table contains a list of the most popular search phrases on BeatStars. These are the same tags you see in the Trending Searches section on the BeatStars website and on the main page. However, while there you only see 4-5 tags at a time, here you have access to 1000 of the most popular searches and their stats.

The table has four columns. The Query is what artists type into the search box. The Popularity column shows how often this query is used. And the Matches column shows the number of beats that match the query. The Competition column shows the balance of demand and supply for the query. Low demand and a large number of beats matching this query means that this niche is oversaturated, and vice versa.

Are these tags really important for my success on BeatStars?

In short – yes, they are. BeatStars uses the title and tags of your beat to rank search results. The more your beat metadata matches the search query, the higher your beat will rank. Please read this blog post of mine to learn exactly how the BeatStars search algorithm works.
