What is this template and who is it for?
What’s included?
You’ll get a ready-to-use Adobe After Effects project file (.aep), a set of free fonts, and a clear step-by-step video tutorial that walks you through the setup. The images and video clips shown in the preview are for demonstration only and are not included in the project.
Is there a vertical version of these type beat visuals for After Effects?
No. This template is available only in horizontal formats and is made specifically for YouTube type-beat channels. Vertical formats like Reels or TikTok aren’t a good fit for type-beat content in general — they don’t function as proper listening environments, and most viewers won’t engage with full beats there.
What are the technical requirements for these type beat visuals for After Effects?
You only need Adobe After Effects. No third-party plugins are required. For the best performance and to avoid potential errors or missing features, it’s recommended to use the English version of After Effects.
I’m new to After Effects. Can I still use this?
Yes. This template is designed to be beginner-friendly and doesn’t require any prior After Effects experience. No complex setups, expressions, or technical knowledge required.
What can I customize inside these type beat visuals for After Effects?
Pretty much everything. The template includes multiple frame options (1:1 square, 4:3, 5:4, 3:2, and 2.39:1), customizable overlays such as film grain, light leaks, and color filters, and six fully editable title presets that automatically adapt to any text length. There’s also a configurable call-to-action screen with an animated button.
The video structure itself isn’t locked, so you can place titles and the CTA screen anywhere in the timeline and reuse them as many times as you want. The template works perfectly out of the box, but if you have After Effects experience, you can push it further and use it as a foundation for your own custom visual style.
Where can I get footage for my type-beat visuals?
The footages used in the demo was taken from YouTube, right from official artist channels. Using short clips or brief fragments for visual background is a common practice on type-beat YouTube channels and generally falls under fair use when done reasonably. Avoid using full music videos or long uninterrupted sections, and you’ll be fine — this is how most producer channels work today.
